How a farm kid from Idaho made plants her life's work.
I am currently retired and no longer in practice, although I am continuing my studies of plants, primarily in herbalism. Prior to retirement, I worked with clients in my holistic wellness business and was employed as an aromatherapist and reflexologist for 8 + years in the hospice care setting.
My serious interest in essential oils began while I was working on my Bachelor of Science in Natural Health. I selected Aromatherapy as one of my focus areas along with Herbology and Reflexology.
I grew up on a farm in southern Idaho and plants have always been a significant, intrinsic part of my life. As my knowledge and professional interactions continued, my desire to grow in my expertise in using plants and plant extracts also increased. In my continuing education, I thankfully found Aromahead Institute and started the ACP certification program.
Well, here I am — still a lifelong learner enjoying studying, and teaching online English with the World English Institute and the Bible with World Bible School. I just thank God he has provided me with these many opportunities to learn and grow.
