Low Attention Span? 3 Essential Oils for Attention and Focus
Focus and Get Things Done!
Okay, time to write this week's blog post!
But first I have to feed the cats, they will be hungry . . .
Okay, NOW it's time to write the blog post—except that first I should probably make some tea, and didn't I see an interesting article about Lavender that I wanted to read? I should probably do that.
NOW it's really time to . . . wait . . . what am I supposed to be doing?
Oh gosh, I think I need to use some essential oils for attention and focus!
When we use essential oils for attention and focus, a few things are going on.
We want a sense of calm, steady energy—not so relaxing that we're falling asleep, but energizing and centering enough that we can sit and concentrate on a project.
We also want to calm our thoughts so our minds aren't running in a lot of different directions.
And of course, we want to bring a sense of clarity to the head so we feel alert, present, and mentally sharp.
I have a diffuser blend that can help with all of that, made with three of my favorite essential oils for attention and focus.

The internet has put a true wealth of knowledge right at our fingertips.
We can look up anything, learn anything, practice a new skill, and connect with people on the other side of the world.
It's a little ironic that we have access to so much information, and yet we sometimes have trouble focusing our attention long enough to absorb any of it!
Using our attention has become a "practice,"like meditation or intentional relaxation.
We have to choose what we want to spend our precious attention on.
When we do, we feel less scattered, more productive, and more like ourselves. Essential oils can help.
The three essential oils for attention I've chosen for this blend are wonderful at clearing the head and helping to sharpen our energy, but there are so many great options!
I have another blend for attention that's been popular on YouTube. It's a "Focused and Clear" diffuser blend, and it's made with four oils, including Laurel Leaf and White Pine.
Try one of these blends in the morning, or in the afternoon if you feel a little sluggish and want a "boost"to keep focused.
