The Best Smelling Natural Cleaning Spray with Essential Oils
This Natural Cleaning Spray will Make Your Home Smell Amazing!
Make a natural cleaning spray with Peppermint, Lemon, and Orange essential oils and create a living space that's fresh and clean WITHOUT chemicals!
And support natural immunity with essential oils.
First, let me give you the recipe, then I'll tell you WHY this natural cleaning spray is so effective.
The BEST Smelling Natural Cleaning Spray with Essential Oils
3 fl oz (90 ml) water
2 teaspoons (10 ml) Castile soap
5 drops Peppermint essential oil (Mentha x piperita)
15 drops Lemon essential oil (Citrus limon)
15 drops Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis)
You can make this blend in a 4 oz (120 ml) spray bottle.
I made a YouTube video about this blend where I actually used a 16 oz (480 ml) spray bottle. I love how effective this natural cleaning spray is so much that I quadrupled the recipe to make more!
Why are Peppermint and I so excited about this blend?
Because Peppermint, Lemon, and Orange are amazing essential oils for natural cleaning. They reduce so many kinds of microbes—including bacteria and viruses. These three oils also support our immunity. So instead of surrounding yourself with harsh chemicals as you clean, which can compromise your immunity and cause sensitivities, you're actually boosting your health when you use this natural cleaner.
And I'll bet you can tell why I call this the BEST-Smelling spray cleaner! Lemon and Orange essential oils—how can you go wrong? There are only 5 drops of Peppermint, which is just enough to bring a fresh, penetrating burst of mintiness to the fruity aroma.
The small amount of Castile soap in this blend makes it a little soapy when you spritz it onto surfaces, allowing you to get just enough of a soapy effect so you can clean up things like dried spills. (You can see what I mean if you watch the video I linked to above. The soapiness is not a lot.)
Use this blend on surfaces like countertops, sinks, tiles, and tubs. You might want to test it out on the surface you're planning to clean, though. Choose a small, out-of-sight area to test it on and give it a few hours so you know the surface will react well to the essential oils. (Most surfaces that react well to water are fine.)
Enjoy!
