Aromahead graduate Amber Sanchez uses aromatherapy for pregnant women to help them through pregnancy and childbirth.

She’s a professional doula. (Check out her website!)

For some women, pregnancy and childbirth can feel isolating, confusing, and overwhelming.

It can seem as though no one truly understands what the expectant mom is going through. She may even feel like she’s being guided to birthing options that don’t align with her needs. Amber is there to ensure mom has someone on her side.

As your birth doula, I work only for you. Not your caregiver, a hospital, or birth center.

Amber offers her experience and support through every step of mom and baby’s journey. She’s on call for her clients 24/7 and will stay with them through the entire birth process—no matter how long it takes!

“When labor starts, I will be there from the moment you need me until one or two hours after delivery. If mom can’t take a break, neither should I. As part of your birthing team, we will get through this together!

Amber also stands out from the crowd: she’s the first Certified Aromatherapist in the community of East Texas!

She’s able to offer her clients a level of support that other doulas or midwives can’t.

As a graduate of Aromahead’s Aromatherapy Certification Program, Amber understands the ins and outs of using essential oils safely for expectant mothers, new moms, babies, and children. She knows how to appropriately lower the dilution of her blends so moms experience relief while the developing baby is protected.

She also understands which chemical components are absolutely not safe for developing babies and newborns, such as trans-anethole, which is present in Anise oil (Pimpinella anisum).

And in cases where essential oils aren’t appropriate at all, Amber still has the resources to support mom and baby naturally.

With her specialized knowledge, Amber uses aromatherapy for pregnant women to help:

  • Ease nausea and morning sickness

  • Balance mood swings

  • Soothe sore, achy muscles

  • And more!

“Being part of your family’s birth team is not only a privilege but an honor,” Amber says on her website. “I get to watch a miracle happen! As your doula, it’s my job to help you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible through the whole process.”
