Aromatherapy Certification Program graduate“Each product has the health of the consumer in mind.”
Why Danielle started making her own.
I have always had sensitive skin. The chaffed at the seams of my clothes, rashes from too much perfume, sensitive skin. When I started a job at a fiberglass factory, my skin sensitivities only increased. I continued to use a store bought body butter that I loved but just did not get the results I needed. It wasn't until I read a friend's post about our largest organ in our body being our skin, did I start to pay closer attention to what I was slathering on mine.
That store bought brand I was using is filled with alcohol, synthetic fragrance (more alcohol), chemicals I couldn't pronounce and the number one ingredient listed was water. To my dismay, I had to find another product that would help ease my skin sensitivities. Search after search, label after label I realized that purchasing from a super store was not going to help me. I became extremely frustrated with the lies of the companies telling me their products were all natural, organic, pure, etc.
That's when it happened. I stopped looking in the stores and started researching healthier, non-toxic ways to make my own products. It seriously started with me making my own body butter from four ingredients. I'll be honest, it wasn't the greatest texture. It didn't have that velvety, vanilla smell that I had come accustomed to having, but it sure did work.
Two years later and I have nearly perfected my body butter formula. I have a few variances to fit the needs of different customers, and also to adapt to the seasonal changes that cause altered skin irritants throughout the year.
Naturally Simplified
Naturally Simplified's mission is to promote and support a healthier lifestyle by supplying consumers with all natural, organic, toxin free alternatives to household and body care needs. The purpose is to offer the essential tools necessary for supporting a healthier life through education and products available.
Striving to provide products using only the highest quality ingredients, educating to ensure proper use and simplified to maximize benefits when implementing them into your daily routine, is the aspiration.
I spend countless hours researching, learning and studying the different oils, butters, and carriers to help improve and support a healthier life. As I learn more about the wonderful world of all natural and organic, I begin to implement different products into my lifestyle and into my store. It is my hope to not only educate people on the importance of watching what we consume in both body care and household products, but also to offer affordable products simplified to ensure continued use.
