Deborah Liseo

Aromatherapy Certification Program graduate
🌱 Certified Aromatherapist

My interest in essential oils goes back to making homemade candy with my grandmother.

Her story

How a family candy company led Debbie to essential oils.

My name is Debbie Liseo from Meriden, CT.

She purchased the oils to make her candy from a pharmacy, since this was the only place she could buy them. Granny always made peppermint, cinnamon, and wintergreen since these were the only oils available.

I ended up having a candy company which I named after her called the Granny Candy Company. My interest of essential oils grew from the candy company.

My sister had success using oil of oregano to help cure her horse and this further spiked my interest in wanting to learn and help others. Thereafter, a family member burnt the roof of his mouth from pizza and I made him a blend with oil of oregano which totally alleviated his pain, so I thought there must be something to this.

At this point, I realized this was something I enjoyed doing and that I needed to gain more knowledge to make certain the essential oils were safe and effective. This is what prompted me to take the Aromatherapy Certification Program through Aromahead Institute.

What's next for Debbie

I'm not certain how I plan on proceeding as an aromatherapist in a business sense. I am thrilled to have earned my certification through Aromahead Institute.

At this time, I plan on using the knowledge I gained to create safe and effective blends for my family and friends.

I loved learning from the case studies and getting amazing feedback from Katherine Grames. Her recommendations/suggestions were much appreciated and helped make me a more confident blender.
