How a wild plant led Holly here.
My interest in essential oils started a few years ago as I used to collect an edible wild plant, which I would blanch and freeze. One day I decided to try the blanching water and found it to be an excellent pick-me-up, so I froze the remainder.
One evening I took a package out to defrost and forgot to put it in the fridge overnight. The next morning all the green from the plant material had leached into the bowl, but left the water trapped in the plastic bag. Needless to say I thought it best to stop using it until I could learn more about this plant and its affects.
As there was virtually no information available, I had to start exploring other avenues to learn about this plant and my search led me to aromatherapy.
Two years later, I now have the knowledge and certification in place and will be opening an essential oils company later this year. I will begin research into the distillation of my "pick-me-up" plant to see if the essential oils route is a safer method to extract the benefits of this plant.
