How Monica added one more credential at 74.
I am a seasoned professional and a lifelong learner. I have a doctorate in Education Leadership, a master's in clinical social work, and a master of arts in teaching (Spanish). This certification program has provided me with the credentialling I wanted to legitimize my professionalism in this area as well.
In addition to Aromatherapy, I can teach Spanish, Spanish Conversation, Intensive English, Public Speaking, and workshops on Cultural and Linguistic Competency and Difficult Conversations about Race. I write erotica and have published a book Pure Pleasure a collection of erotic interludes.
As you can see selfies are not my forte. I am 74 years old.
My goal is to educate communities to the potential benefits of aromatherapy. As our communities age, more aches and pains and other issues surface. Medications no longer have to be the only answer.
I also love the idea of sharing our information with the younger generations so they do better with skin care, environmentally safer products for home cleaning, and the like. It's an exciting time, and I'm just thrilled to be among the professionals in this field.
I guess it was the caring. Noddings talks about caring as a dynamic process. The one cared about has to experience the caring, not just hear the words. The desire of the team to ensure that we were learning and loving it was palpable, not easy in an online environment. The 6-month challenge was a great idea to facilitate progress and consistency. I loved it. Provided the structure and timeframes I needed.
