Shirley Burge

Aromatherapy Certification Program graduate
🌱 Certified Aromatherapist

This has been my passion, to pursue a career with Essential oils, to teach safety and guidance so people can experience these amazing healing oils as they were meant to be used.

Her story

How a decade with essential oils became a safety mission.

I've used essential oils for 10 plus years and that started with Lavender with I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Living holistically and growing my own herbs, well, essential oils just fit right in there.

I plan to continue my education and teach safety, an area desperately needed in this growing industry. I look forward to having my own line of Essential oils in the future!

My Facebook page is Essential Oils, Herbs, and Healthy Living and my blog is herbsoilsandhealing.blogspot.com. This is my passion.

What she's building

Essential Oils, Herbs and Healing

Educational site on safety and proper use of essential oils. Essential oils are gaining popularity with safety and effective therapeutic use lagging behind. My goal is to bring awareness

This has been my passion, to pursue a career with Essential oils, to teach safety and guidance so people can experience these amazing healing oils as they were meant to be used. There is a rash of EO's being sold but very little education. I want to learn so I can teach. Teaching encompassed my previous career as a medical auditor and I want to take that into my next career, Certified Aromatherapist.

The best parts of learning here

What made the difference, in Shirley’s words.

Shirley saw a gap between how fast oils were selling and how little safety education came with them. Here's why she decided to teach, in her own words.

She saw the gap first

Oils were selling fast. The education to use them safely wasn't keeping up.

There is a rash of EO's being sold but very little education.

Learning, so she can teach

Her reason for enrolling was always about what comes next.

I want to learn so I can teach.

A second career built on the first

Years as a medical auditor prepared her for a new career, teaching safety in a different field.

Teaching encompassed my previous career as a medical auditor and I want to take that into my next career, Certified Aromatherapist.
