Early in my life, I learned that scent was significant and could change my mood instantly. My initial exposure to essential oils was in 1976 when I was gifted a small precious brown bottle of Wild Musk oil formulated by Coty. This precious blend of aromatic plant oils intrigued me, grounded me instantly, and guided me to a lifetime love and practice of personal self-care through aromatic plants.
In 2005, I started a small business, and Nature’s Scent Apothecary Bath & Body Self-Care was born. In 2007 I completed my Master's level in Usui Reiki and in 2016 Shoden and Okuden level in Jikiden Reiki. I have a 20-plus-year career working in the mental health field and have seen far too many times individuals, already depleted, ignore their self-care needs as they provide care to others.
In May of 2023, I became a Certified Aromatherapist through Aromahead Institute. I continue to learn and am looking forward to becoming an Aromatherapy Educator in the future.
