One day I decided I was not a Real Estate Underwriter any more! My husband and I had just moved to Minneapolis, MN and stopped in this cool little garden shop one day on our walk. Instead of looking at the flowers I was drawn to all the little bottles. I still remember the first bottle of essential oil I ever had the pleasure of smelling, Rosemary. Can you smell its mentally invigorating, sharp and cool aroma?
That first impression is one that I have never forgotten and I actually still have that original bottle. Back then I never considered essential oils for their healing purpose and mainly used them as bath scents and body lotions. It did not take long for me to open my mind to the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy.
A week after my youngest son was born, he began having ear infection after ear infection and suffered allergic reactions to each antibiotic the doctor gave him. I was very frustrated and started researching the healing properties of essential oils and came up with my very first blend that I intended to use on him. To my surprise the blend improved his condition and my path down this road began.
Twelve years later my son has not suffered from ear infections. Spurring my interest I began what has turned into a lifelong dedication to the study of the beneficial properties of essential oil through aromatherapy. In 2002 I began my journey as an Aromatherapist and I've been creating essential oil blends for the body, mind & spirit every since.
Essential Wellbeings was born and has given me the avenue to express my love and knowledge of essential oils to many people interested in wellness through aromatherapy.
