How Shelayne’s travels led her here.
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, including furry friends! I have a passion for life and a mission to empower others to be their very best. I’ve been interested in doing things the natural way since my university days when I got hooked on Adelle Davis’ book Let’s Get Well. A “hippie” at heart I have traveled the world doing Christian voluntary work. This work took me and my husband to Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Tunisia, Mexico, Belize, Sri Lanka, and India.
Having lived in the land of Ayurvedic medicine, Homeopathy, and essential oils, I was enthralled with the holistic healing approach. I loved the smell of the oils and became interested in their healing potential. Living in the south of India for many years, one cannot ignore the popular health spas which extolled the medicinal benefits of essential oils and the many testimonies from people I met who frequented them. I started using essential oils in my home.
After living in India for almost 30 years we found ourselves back in the USA. I opened a Pet Sitting Service. Over the years, I came to observe various recurring health issues in the pets in my charge and even my own pets. I wondered if they too could benefit from the use of essential oils. Always a proponent of safety first, especially with my furry friends, I started researching this subject. My research took me on a long journey of taking short courses and getting certificates.
Then one day I decided to take the leap and study to become an Essential Oil Specialist and a Certified Aromatherapist with Aromahead Institute. Halfway through that course, I have the opportunity to study under Jane Roark, DVM aka The Essential Oil Vet where I have received my Animal Aromatherapist certification. As one of her Certified Animal Aromatherapist Specialists, I am able to consult with her if needed. Healthy Oils For All was born to help others in the use of certified therapeutic pure essential oils for both themselves and their pets.

I have opened Healthy Oils For All to educate and service people and pets in my area on the use of essential oils.
I found the whole course to be very thorough and written in such a way that anyone can really understand it. Not having a background in the sciences, I was concerned about the Anatomy and Physiology part of the course. That too was explained in layman's terms and in a practical way that made it easy to retain. It was so reassuring to have my own personal coach, Ann Lohr, to guide me through the process.
