How Tamara found her way in.
I grew up in Southern Ontario, and only recently moved much closer to the North Pole to live on a hobby farm where I refuse to call feeding and watering the animals, "chores" because for me it's not a chore.
Did I mention I can see the stars at night? And hear the clang of the bell on the cow across the road? And smell the hay growing in the field? This is where I learned to love every moment. This is also where I knit my first toque.
Subtle Remedies
I own a small business, offering gentle solutions for whole-body healing. Modalities: Reiki, Reflexology, and Sound Healing. The human body is full of energy; it is all the time working and parts are constantly moving. All body parts are connected, so taking care of one part can also help mend another.
Reiki (pronounced ‘ray' ‘key') is a hands-on healing technique that loosens blocked energy and promotes relaxation, which helps the body heal itself. Applying gentle remedies like Aromatherapy or Reiki encourages whole-body maintenance and the balance of the physical parts with emotional parts, simply by guiding energy to where it is needed.
Client collaboration and participation are important to the process because what works for one person likely works differently for another. There is always more than one way to accomplish something, and subtle techniques complement many other perspectives. Building individual knowledge and awareness can only strengthen the goal of sustaining a healthier future. When 'finding the energy' takes too much energy, Subtle Remedies offers gentle supportive solutions providing opportunity for the body to re-focus its energy to heal itself.
Honestly, self-study was a challenge for me, but the support and positive feedback from the Aromahead instructors kept me going. I wanted to keep pleasing them! I'm quite proud of myself for the accomplishment - it's a lot of information to take in, and what made it easier is that everything is all searchable and repeatable. I also love the fact that everything is based on research, be it scientific or traditional.
