In their words

What students say about the program.

I loved learning how to use essential oils safely. … I also appreciated how well the parts that touched on chemistry were taught. I wish I had paid closer attention to chemistry when I was in school, but the way it was broken down in Aromahead Institute made learning so easy.
Kimberly Johnson
Aromahead graduate
I loved the fact that I could learn at my own speed and on my way. The materials are broken down into easy-to-digest modules with tremendous support from the instructors, and the forum. The access to the essential oils data sheets to GCMS reports are priceless tools not just through the course but also to use as a professional.
Ildiko Zavodny
Aromahead graduate
I loved the research for each oil I chose for a blend. It was the best learning tool in understanding how the oils work with the mind and body. The science behind aromatherapy was so eye-opening and rewarding. Thankful for my Mentor Shelia, her feedback was priceless to me.
Jean McCabe
Aromahead graduate
It allowed me to study at my own rate, learning all about how to safely use essential oils and to blend them with appropriate dilutions. I appreciated being able to learn how to read GC/MS reports so that I could safely substitue oils with similar chemical components but with different aromas.
Doris Laing
Aromahead graduate
Thank you Aromahead for showing me a whole new world! The courses, exercises, webinars, forum, and feedback are extremely informative and well-structured - based on science, research, and experience. I am so much more confident in my blending skills and know I can rely on a wide community of fellow graduates for support.
Annalisa Mazzarella

I have taken many of Aromahead’s courses and have loved every single one of them. They are all full of so much information. My long term goal is to continue learning and become even more confident in using these wonderful oils.

Questions, answered

Essential Oil Specialist FAQ

What is the Essential Oil Specialist Certificate?

It is the credential you earn when you complete the Aromahead coursework: 170+ hours of professional-level training in essential oil chemistry, blending, and safe use. On completion you receive your certificate and may use the title Essential Oil Specialist.

Do I need any experience to start?

No. The course is built for both newcomers and people who already use essential oils. It begins with the foundations and builds steadily, at a pace you set.

How long does it take to complete?

You learn on your own schedule with lifetime access. Many students move through the coursework over three to eight months, but there is no deadline, take the time you need.

What is the difference between the Specialist and the full Aromatherapy Certification?

The Specialist is the complete coursework and earns the Essential Oil Specialist Certificate. The Aromatherapy Certification (Pathway 3) builds on the very same coursework by adding A Journey Through Anatomy, Physiology & Pathophysiology (the A&P course), twenty client case studies, a research paper, and the written and final exams, the experiential work that earns a professional credential.

Will everything I learn here count toward certification?

Yes, in full. The Specialist is Pathway 2 on the path. When you continue to Pathway 3, your coursework carries over completely, you only add the experiential work and the exam.

Can I use what I learn to help others or start a business?

Absolutely. Graduates use this foundation to make and sell natural products, guide friends and family, and build the early form of a practice. For client-facing clinical work, continuing to the Aromatherapy Certification is the recommended next step.

Which option should I choose?

Choose the Aromatherapy Specialist at $1,795 if your goal is mastery for yourself, your family, and your handmade products. It includes every Pathway 1 course. Most students who plan to work with clients choose the Pathway 3 Bundle at $2,395: for $600 more it carries the same coursework through to a professional credential, with the A&P course, twenty client case studies, a research paper, and the written and final exams. The Scholars Program at $4,495 is our complete path, for students who already know they want to become a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist.

What does it cost, and are there payment plans?

The Aromatherapy Specialist is $1,795, the Pathway 3 Bundle is $2,395, and the Scholars Program is $4,495. Every option has a monthly payment plan: 6 payments of $310 or $415, or 12 payments of $399 for the Scholars Program, with longer plans available at checkout.

Do I really get lifetime access?

Yes. Enroll once and the coursework is yours: every lesson, video, recipe, and update, with no subscription and no expiration. Aromahead has been teaching online for more than twenty years, and your access lasts as long as the school does.

What is the refund policy?

If you decide within your first 7 days that the course is not right for you, email team@aromahead.com with a note about why it was not the right fit, and we will issue a prompt refund.
