At first, I was terrified. "What am I doing?", I asked myself when I looked at carbon chains with single and double bonds!! Chemistry!! I had to read and reread the lessons. I soon found myself understanding what I was reading. I knew that I "knew" the material-ahhh, metacognition! I still have to keep the class glossary, and other materials, close at hand but I am no longer terrified. I am confident!!

The chemistry looked impossible at first glance.
At first, I was terrified. "What am I doing?", I asked myself when I looked at carbon chains with single and double bonds!!

Somewhere in the rereading, the material finally clicked.
I soon found myself understanding what I was reading. I knew that I "knew" the material-ahhh, metacognition!
Terrified no more
