How a Public Health nurse made aromatherapy part of the job.
I have been a nurse for 34 years, am currently a Public Health Nurse Consultant, and I am currently in a Doctoral Nursing program (graduation in April 2018).
I utilize essential oils for holistic healing; I teach stress reduction classes with Aromatherapy as a wellness modality, and I teach green cleaning workshops to encourage reduction of chemical exposure.
Aromatherapy is a natural fit for Public Health.
I liked working at my own pace. Since I am also in school, I was able to do the online Aromahead program when I was able too. I took longer than I anticipated to complete the program (14 months) but I am proud to be a Certified Aromatherapist now. I think this additional certification provides me with additional credibility with my profession.
