Sherri Nielsen
Aromatherapy Certification Program graduate“The rich marriage of Art and Science is what attracted me to Aromahead.”
How a life in design led Sherri to the botanicals.
Sherri spent more than half of her life living in Europe. Her early years were spent moving around as a civilian brat. (Similar to an “army brat” her dad worked for the Air Force as a Civilian). Sherri went to high school in Germany and returned to stateside for University.
Sherri studied Design at one of the leading design schools in the U.S. Her focus was on Fashion Advertising: beauty, cosmetics, and luxury goods with a NOSE for perfume. Her first job was working on Hollywood Boulevard, at the prestigious American Cosmetic company - Max Factor. Her first project - a famous Italian fashion brand and the worldwide fragrance launch of Missoni.
She received an offer to teach at the European Campus of Art Center, in Switzerland. It was in Switzerland that Sherri began her personal journey in phytotherapies (plant therapy) & botanicals learning their importance in natural health & wellness. (AKA “Aromatherapy” in the U.S.)
By the early 90’s - Sherri made it to Paris. With her extensive teaching experience & Professional success - Sherri became the “headmaster” or Chairman of the Visual Communications Department at the French campus of the prestigious Parsons School Of Design.
Over the next 20 years, Sherri would skyrocket her career to work on the world’s top global haircare and cosmetic brands.
Sherri has always used essential oils at home, and followed doctor-recommended botanical treatments in Europe… but it wasn’t until 2018 - when tragedy hit close to home that catapulted Sherri into action to study “AROMATHERAPY” with AROMAHEAD Institute and completed her studies as a PROFESSIONAL AROMATHERAPIST, NAHA certified Level 2.
Nature’s Kiss
NATURE’S KISS was born out of Sherri’s experience living in Switzerland & France, her studies of AROMATHERAPY - learning the art and science of blending essential oils for health & wellness and the wish to make botanicals available to family and friends.
Sherri is currently beginning her studies for her CLINICAL certification in AROMATHERAPY with AROMAHEAD. or as Sherri prefers to call it Phytotherapie. (Plant therapy) because she believes it is SO MUCH MORE than “just” aroma. ;-)
The rich marriage of Art and Science is what attracted me to Aromahead. The beauty and appreciation for the aroma, and visual appearance of the botanicals, and the in-depth research and knowledge of science and chemistry. This combination validates the power and importance of AROMATHERAPY.

What made the difference, in Sherri’s words.
Sherri spent decades in design and perfume before certifying. Here is what drew her, in her own words.
Beauty and rigor, together
The program honors the aroma and look of the botanicals and the chemistry underneath them, at the same time.
The beauty and appreciation for the aroma, and visual appearance of the botanicals, and the in-depth research and knowledge of science and chemistry.
Validation for the work
For a career fragrance-world designer, the science here confirmed what her nose already knew.
This combination validates the power and importance of AROMATHERAPY.
