How Wendy brought plants into city life.
I live in New York, and while I love the rhythms of the city, I'm also a person who thrives on nature and our symbiotic relationship with plants-- one of the main reasons I was drawn to aromatherapy and other plant-based methods of healing and beauty practices.
I live near the gorgeous 600 acre Prospect Park, which keeps me in balance with nature while trekking thru city life, as does my growing collection of essential oils, yoga and other 'earthy' practices.
My practice in aromatherapy at this point in time is conducted with family, friends, and daily self care experimentation and documentation of custom recipes. The best part of my experience is having others come back and request refills on blends I've made for them, and what's more exciting is when they call me as a first option *before* reaching for the Tylenol or other form of OTC or pharaceutical remedy.
From an esthetic standpoint, friends and a few family members can't live without my special face oil blends now, and I can't start a day without my own blends-- geranium, frankincense, lavender, jasmine, and others are the best part of my morning ritual.
