Dr. Cheryl McKenzie received a BS in Biochemistry from Kean University and later obtained a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Cheryl became one of the first Certified Eating Disorder Specialists in the United States.
Over the next 25 years, her academic pursuits spanned a broad array of both traditional and alternative approaches to wellness that addressed addiction, exercise, nutrition, weight management, psychoneuroimmunology, and integrative therapies.
Her credentials include: Advanced Aromatherapy Graduate Program Certified Professional Aromatherapist * Essential Oils Specialist Certificate * Component Blending Certificate * Aromatherapy for Cancer Care Certificate (American College of Health Sciences) Aromatherapy Teacher Training Instructor * Professional Aromatherapy Diploma Certified Master Addiction Counselor Licensed Sports Nutritionist Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA) Certified Weight Loss Specialist (NASM) Certified Medical & Dental Clinical Hypnotherapist (NAMDH) Additionally, Dr. McKenzie graduated the Clinical Training Program for Mind/Body Medicine at the Center for the Healing Arts, and completed training in surface EMG and EEG Biofeedback.
