How Linda made aromatherapy her second career.
My passion has been studying aromatherapy for the past 20 years. I started looking for an alternative methods for my family who have issues with sinus, and allergies. I found a lot of information about essential oils, (nature's special gift to us). And before long, I became so interested and intrigued I started ordering from different essential oil companies. You learn very quickly that some are better than others, and I wanted to know why.
I studied and became a Level 1 Certified Medicinal Aromatherapist in 2010. And, I recently earned my Certification in Aromatherapy here at Aromahead Institute. It took me several years, while working a full-time job as a social worker. I have retired from social work and I am now working full time with aromatherapy. I am so happy and honored to be a part of this wonderful graduating group.
I have been working with many people over the years and have seemed to find a niche with families that are struggling while caring for a loved one. They love essential oils that are helpful for sleep, anxiety, sadness, grief. They tell me they want and need something that brings them peace and feelings of hope. My clients are amazed how something that smells so good, can help them feel more calm, relaxed, and hopeful.
My favorite joys other than working with people are, our fur baby (dog) Sidney, she also loves essential oils. I love listening to books on tape, traveling, and enjoy watching the birds in our yard especially the Hummingbirds.
