How Virginia built a business that carries two names she loves.
The name LJ's Botanicals is in honor of my late husband, Jonathan, and our son Little John who was stillborn.
When my husband was sick with cancer in 2014 we were first introduced to essential oils, as a means of helping him relax and breathe deeply. I used them some, just in a diffuser after his death but it wasn't until a few years later that I really started searching.
A friend commented that we weren't meant to inhale oils as in using a diffuser. It was mostly a joke due to my love of natural things but it made me curious. I started researching and was surprised about what I found. So many cases of misuse. I kept researching and learned that I could become a certified aromatherapist.
One of the things that I learned through my husband's illness was the importance of eliminating chemicals from our lives, what we put in and on our bodies. I researched several schools before finding Aromahead. I plan on learning as much as possible about herbs as well as essential oils.
