How Lori became the content expert.
I am a board-certified holistic nurse (HNB-BC) with 30 years of experience in critical care and pain management. I am also a Reiki Master. My interest in holistic care started when I became a nurse so support myself, my co-workers, and my patients.
We started using aromatherapy at my hospital in 2013, I knew very little about it other than it smelled good.
I started with Jane Buckle's course on aromatherapy and immediately joined NAHA and then eventually AIA. When I finished I searched for more education, I finally enrolled in Aromahead due to the American Holistic Nurses Association endorsement.
I was now the content expert at work developing education and policy for our staff. I continued with the teacher training and finally, the advanced graduate program which I just finished.
I use my aromatherapy expertise at my healthcare facility to create education and policy, eventually, I want to start my own nurse coaching business when I complete my certificate in medical cannabis.
BeeGirl Organix
As a nurse, I have always been concerned with the amount of chemicals we put in our bodies through the food we eat and the products we use. This has led me to make my own organic blends for skincare. As I started to give them to friends as gifts, the reaction was amazing and they wanted to know how to get more.
So BeeGirl Organix was created a few years ago, but as my knowledge base increased, the focus for BeeGirl Organix has become broader. The X in Organix is to X out the toxic additives often added to products, many are known hormone disruptors.
My products are 100% certified organic and do not have preservatives. They are made in small batches or made specifically for a client during our personal consultation.
I loved learning at my own pace, it was good to know that I could return to it at my convenience. I also loved checking in on the forum to hear about other students' discussions. I have recommended Aromahead to several colleagues because of the variety of education that is offered.
