How family dementia turned Phyllis toward aromatherapy.
My journey with essential oils began in 2017 when starting a family subscription box business centered around essential oils and its benefits. This experience sparked a deeper curiosity in me—to understand the science behind the oils and how they could enhance daily life for my family and me, as well as possibly help others.
In 2019, my mother passed away from dementia, and now in 2025, my oldest sister is also battling this disease. These personal experiences have deepened my commitment to exploring how aromatherapy might help ease the challenges of dementia.
I intend to use my aromatherapy knowledge to consult with others, create enriching and beautiful products, and educate people about essential oils and the many benefits of aromatherapy.
For my research paper, I explored the topic of Cognitive Function and gained a wealth of knowledge in the process.
