Band-Aid in a Bottle (Essential Oils for Healing)
4 amazing essential oils for healing . . . and how to use them safely!
Our focus is on four remarkable oils that have proven their mettle in soothing life's little stumbles - those unexpected scrapes and bruises that occasionally dot our paths.
It's a part of life, after all - the occasional scrape from an enthusiastic dash, a small bruise from an unforeseen bump. These small discomforts, while not alarming, can lead to bothersome pain or even infection if left unattended.
But here's the uplifting part - nature has our back. In the form of essential oils, nature offers us her own well-stocked first aid kit, replete with remedies that are both safe and effective for everyday injuries. These gentle yet potent oils can transform small incidents of discomfort into opportunities for soothing and healing.
And there's something even more comforting about this natural arsenal - the peace of mind it brings. When you're well-equipped with reliable, natural remedies, you're prepared to face minor mishaps with calm and confidence. Imagine it as having a supportive friend by your side, always ready to assist in easing your scrapes and softening your bruises.
A shining example of this support is a blend we've affectionately dubbed the "Band-Aid in a Bottle." This blend is a valuable companion in your natural first aid kit, always at the ready to offer relief when and where you need it most. It's an especially good friend when traveling, promptly addressing minor wounds and skin irritations with ease.
Our "Band-Aid in a Bottle" is not only an excellent remedy for physical wounds, but it's also a potent aid in calming the anxious feelings that often accompany healing.
Here's the recipe . . .
Lavender's "Band-Aid in a Bottle"
1 oz (28 g) Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis)
7 drops Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
3 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
5 drops Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana)
3 drops Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum)
3 mls Solubol
Directions:
1. Pour the aloe vera into a 1 oz (30 ml) glass bottle.
2. Add the essential oils to the bottle.
3. Shake the blend gently before each use to help distribute the essential oils through the aloe.
4. Cleanse the wound, then apply the blend gently to the affected area.
We include a bit of Solubol in this blend to help keep the essential oils dispersed through the aloe vera. (Solubol is what's known as a "dispersant." 3 ml of Solubol should be just right. Use a little less aloe vera so you have room for the Solubol in the bottle.
The versatility of this blend is truly impressive.! This blend can help:
Calm inflammation
Ease pain
Restore damaged skin
Heal small wounds
Relieve itching
Support immunity
Reduce congestion and sneezing
Calm headaches
Soothe anxiety
Reduce germs
Keeping this blend with you when you travel is like having peace of mind in a bottle!
Importantly, Lavender is a gentle essential oil suitable for use with children. If you're preparing this blend for a child, reduce the number of essential oil drops to ensure it is safe for their smaller systems. Follow the recipe below:
